Poff Poff

Today I made food and not just any food one of my favourites its a Nigerian dish And its called poff poff its basically a Nigerian doughnut And It was the first time I actually made it
Ingredients
3 cups of flour
2/3 cup of sugar
4 teaspoons of yeast
4 table spoons of Powdered milk (Optional)
And 2 cups of water ( Warm water)
Mix it
And then leave it for about 45Minutes
After 45 Minutes
Put oil on your hands so it doesn't stick to your hands
Put the pan on until its hot
And then get the dough make sure it is in the palm of your hand and squeez it out it makes a ball on your pan and try and get as close as possible so it doesn't splash
And that's how you make poff poff

  1. I saw your blog post on Twitter - they look delicious and I might make them with my daughter (she is 12). What do you eat them with - maybe they can be sweet or savoury?

  2. Mmmm...doughnuts. Thanks for the idea, Anjola, they sound delicious. I might put some cinnamon on mine as well. Where are you buying your yeast from, I cant seem to find it any in some supermarkets?

  3. They look delicious! When we get back to school you are most welcome to bring me in a taste test of them!! Isn't yeast an amazing product to cook with?As Mr P said it is in high demand at the moment due to everyone wanting to make bread and other baking. Hope to see you add something to your blog for the bake/cook off that Chelsy and Tai organised (or maybe you could make these again!).
